III INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE

GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING IN COLD REGIONS

THE BASIC OF INFRASTRUCTURE SAFETY
IN GLOBAL CHANGES
10-12 february 2027 Moscow
Gersevanov Research Institute
of Bases and Underground Structures
Медведь

Cold regions are territories that not only offer significant opportunities for humanity, but also pose serious challenges. The development of northern regions is complicated not only by their remoteness, inaccessibility, and severe climatic conditions, but also by the sensitivity of permafrost soils to changes in external environmental factors.

Under conditions of global change, ensuring the mechanical safety of buildings and structures founded on frozen ground requires a comprehensive approach combining the use of innovative materials and technologies, the adaptation of design solutions, and the development of modern monitoring and control systems. A timely response to ongoing changes is essential for the safe operation of infrastructure throughout all stages of its life cycle.
